Join us in creating Unga Smålandstriennialen 2027!

Unga Smålandstriennalen is a newly launched, youth-led democracy and arts initiative aimed at strengthening young people’s long-term influence over the development of the arts sector in Småland and Öland. The project seeks to create local meeting places, regional networks, and new forms of youth organization and participation in the arts.

Are you between 15 and 25 years old and passionate about art, culture, and democracy?

We are currently looking for young collaborators and participants to join Unga Smålandstriennalen.

We are seeking members for the Unga Smålandstriennalen Youth Council – a group for young people who want to influence, create, and work behind the scenes as we build Småland’s most exciting art festival, created by and for young people, taking place in summer 2027.

What you'll gain

  • Learn more about the art world and cultural production

  • Meet artists, cultural producers, and other creative young people

  • Gain inspiration, experience, and valuable new connections

  • Help shape the future of cultural life in your region

Throughout the autumn, we will meet online every other week for production meetings, idea development, and inspiring talks and workshops. We are also planning in-person gatherings and events across five regions.

We are currently recruiting both a Young Project Leader and a Project Coordinator, who will work together to coordinate the Youth Council. The vacancies are available through Konstfrämjandet Småland.

No previous experience is required—just curiosity, commitment, and a desire to make a difference. An interest in art, culture, and democratic engagement is a plus.

To apply, send a short personal letter (maximum half a page) to smaland@konstframjandet.se with the subject line “Unga Smålandstriennalen” no later than 31 August.
