Here, Johanna Karlin will carry out a temporary intervention combining a cottage and sheet metal—a work created as part of her project Kläppinge 1:18 (the property designation) and inspired by the estate of the former owner, Gustav Olsson. The work will be visible from the courtyard. The installation “När blicken tvekar” constitutes a standalone continuation of the ongoing work on the Kläppinge 1:18 project.

14 Juni • WorkshopIn conjunction with the screening of the video work, the artist will hold a workshop where participants will learn how to make their own so-called purification wands in the Shide technique, which is used in Shinto rituals in Japan. Shide is a technique where paper is folded in a traditional way to symbolize lightning and sacred presence. These are then placed on sacred tree branches and used to purify places that have a strong energy and that mean a lot to the individual.
