After inspiring dialogue meetings in Bodafors, on Öland, and in Värnamo, we continue to build community, networks, and ideas in preparation for the Småland Triennial 2026. This time, we meet in the heart of Småland – at Virserum Art Hall – on Monday, May 26.

The theme of the day is Resistance – a central theme in our work with the Småland Triennial 2026. We focus on the role of art as a force for change and preparedness in turbulent times. Konstfrämjandet Småland will present methods and thematic ideas from the ongoing triennial process, and together we will sketch out paths forward.
The day's keynote speaker is America Vera-Zavala – playwright, author, cultural writer, and political activist. Drawing from her background in social movements, performing arts, and political theory, she will share thoughts on resistance, art, and collective transformation.
Virserum Art Hall will provide a vegetarian lunch and fika. (Please let us know if you have any allergies!)
The day will include discussions, inspiration, and co-creation – a vibrant gathering where all contributions, perspectives, and experiences are welcome.
