04 Jul • InaugurationIn connection with the traditional celebration of Rural Day, we are inaugurating Älghult Konsthall with pomp, show and glitz. Rebecka Bebben Andersson's solo exhibition "Without daylight / In a dark time" will be opened by Jonas Holmberg, museum director of Kalmar Art Museum. The opening will include bubbly drinks, snacks from Målerås Bistro, a street parade with the region's young people and specially written music by the regionally awarded composer Tony Blomdahl. She recently exhibited the work at Marabouparken in Stockholm as part of her Bachelor’s degree in Art. 22 Aug • InaugurationWelcome to the village of Kläppinge on the eastern side of Öland, near Kapelludden. Here, Johanna Karlin will carry out a temporary intervention combining a cottage and sheet metal—a work created as part of her project Kläppinge 1:18 (the property designation) and inspired by the estate of the former owner, Gustav Olsson. The work will be visible from the courtyard. The installation “När blicken tvekar” constitutes a standalone continuation of the ongoing work on the Kläppinge 1:18 project.
