Karolina Stenström is bringing her fabric sculpture Önskeväven to the Emmabodakalaset and everyone is welcome to fill it with rags, yarn, trash, plants or whatever you feel like. Anyone who wants to can weave a wish into the fabric! Everyone is welcome to try, regardless of experience! All materials are provided on site.
About the workshop leader
Karolina Stenström is a musician, textile artist and writer living in Hultsfred. She makes music under the names Steso Songs and Hultsfreds kontrolslakteri and publishes fanzines. She was previously editor of the cultural magazine Det grymma svärdet, where she also published cassettes with sound art. She works with knitting, embroidery and weaving and the textile works are always closely intertwined with her music and writing. For example, she embroiders song lyrics and knits backdrops.
