I am a self-taught visual artist. I’m drawn to ideas that make me uncomfortable. These might be paradoxes, taboos, or contradictions. Or when things aren’t what I expected. That’s when I want to reorganize, simplify, and pare down the subject matter so I can see things in a new light. I try to understand emotions, issues, complex contexts, and how other people think. The creative process becomes a space where I can test and challenge perspectives and values by manipulating my motifs.
Since 2018, I have lived in Älghult with my family, in the heart of Småland’s industrial forest. I have a studio in Orrefors Ateljéhus.
