Behzad Khosravi Noori lives in Stockholm. He is an artist and researcher who moves between several worlds. Trained in film in Iran and with a master's degree from Konstfack in Stockholm, Khosravi Noori describes himself as a visual artist, necromancer and educator – titles that suggest the multi-layered, almost mystical nature of his artistry.
Through film, installation or book form, for example, Khosravi Noori explores the overlooked histories of the global south and constructs counter-narratives that challenge the colonial East–West dichotomy. His research-based artistry involves working with archival material and film, and examines, among other things, stories about working conditions, means of production and political relations that have existed as counter-narratives to the dominant history of the Cold War.
