THE PARTY PLACE IN THE HEART OF SMÅLAND
Welcome to experience a unique folk park environment in the middle of the Småland forest – the nostalgic gem Tyrolen. The party place in Blädinge opened its doors in the spring of 1962 and was already a well-attended party place with lots of great artists. However, Tyrolen closed again in 1978 and was dormant for 30 years, until the association “Friends of Tyrolen” took over the party place. Now the park is alive again and today it offers everything from dance and motorcycle meetings to festivals, markets and concerts. The park also has both a playground and a museum. What is unique to Tyrolen are all the paintings that the artist Sven Truedsson created during the 60s. Large portraits of celebrities of the time frame the park and the dance floor’s roof is decorated with paintings of partying Tyroleans. In addition to this, there are all the ingredients that make a classic Swedish folk park: colored lights, shooting range, wheel of fortune, hot dog bar, dance floors, and a large outdoor stage. During the season, small and large cultural events alternate with café and restaurant activities, with lovingly prepared food and carefully selected drinks. A warm welcome to the Sixties paradise Tyrolen!
