The Småland Art Archive has the whole of Småland as its starting point and works for the benefit of the arts through exhibitions, programs and collaborations. The activities include exhibitions and a study archive that houses the Art Archive's collection in Lada 3 in Vandalorum.
Over six decades, the Småland Art Archive has created a significant art collection of artists from the 1920s up to our present day who are or have been associated with Småland. Among them is a Vera Nilsson collection and a number of prominent names such as Ann Margret Dahlquist-Ljungberg, Erik Dietman, Sten Dunér, Magnus Bärtås, Julia Bondesson and Maria Bang-Espersen. Characteristic of large parts of the collection are independent artists searching for their own language and it includes both professional artists established in their local and regional surroundings as well as artists who are internationally established.
Smålands Konstarkiv was founded in Värnamo in 1964 by Smålands Konstnärsförbund and has since operated in several locations and is today located in and collaborates with Vandalorum.
