Johanna Karlin (b. 1964) lives and works on Öland. “Kläppinge 1:18” (the farm name) is today also the name of the artistic project that Johanna Karlin runs in dialogue with the farm – a place in constant change between decay and life. Here she investigates the encounters between humans, animals, nature and architecture. The project “irregularly” activates different parts of the farm, but has also been presented in institutional contexts such as Kalmar Art Museum and the Swedish Academy of Arts.
